Hatteras Bars

Hatteras Island is not known for nightlife, but each of the seven villages on the island has somewhere to sip a drink with friends. These Hatteras Island bars are affiliated with restaurants, some of them offering live music or outdoor settings. The whole vibe on Hatteras Island is laid back and slower than anywhere else on the Outer Banks, so settle into that mood and take your time in the local bars. Stay awhile, get to know the people around you. Set your expectations for wrapping it up early, and you’ll have a great time in the Hatteras Island bars.

Getting Home from Hatteras Island Bars

When hitting the town on Hatteras Island, it’s best to visit one of the Hatteras Island bars that’s close to home or home away from home, preferably within walking distance. Hailing a cab or finding an Uber is not exactly how it goes down on Hatteras Island. If you’re venturing out, make sure you have a designated driver to get you home.
