Gidget's is a valuable discovery on Hatteras Island. The extensive menu offers pizza with hand-tossed dough and homemade sauces, calzones, pasta entrees, paninis, subs, appetizers, salads and desserts. Pizza is the standout here; you can't go wrong with one of their many specialty pies or you can build your own. A nice surprise is the menu of artisanal cheeses, with several selections of goat, cow and sheep cheeses that you can enjoy as an appetizer or take home by the quarter, half or full pound. Another surprise is that they offer more than 70 wines by the glass and more than 20 different beers, including several N.C. brews. You’ll want to stay and relax in the warm and friendly atmosphere.
