Outer Banks Hotel in Hatteras, NC

The Atlantic Inn in Hatteras, NC serves as the perfect hotel for families, weddings or group retreats when visiting the southern islands of the Outer Banks. Established in 1928 as the Atlantic View Hotel, it was the first inn to be built on Hatteras Island. Earning a well-deserved position on the National Register of Historic Places, the inn had provided lodgings for fishing tourists, duck hunters and seekers of a peaceful getaway until 2003, when Hurricane Isabel devastated Hatteras. In 2006, the inn was raised and re-opened as "The Seaside Inn" operating under several managers until the end of 2019. New owners, Pam and JB, have spent most of their lives traveling the world and developed a keen sense of what their "ideal" accommodations would be if they ever had the opportunity to run their own inn. Flashforward to 2021 when they saw the inn up for sale and jumped on the opportunity to make their dreams come true.

Today, The Atlantic Inn provides nine unique, comfortable and cozy accommodations for guests to stay as they experience the beauty of Hatteras Island. Complimentary breakfast is offered daily and all rooms are equipped with mounted flat-screen TVs, Wifi, Keurig coffee maker and fridge for your convenience. Although not oceanfront, The Atlantic Inn is just a five minute walk from the beach and has large grounds with seating areas, picnic tables, a fire-pit, family games (horseshoes, croquet, etc.), a grill patio, decks overlooking the grounds and a good old fashioned porch to sit and sip a morning coffee. A relaxing carefree retreat where you can truly be on "island time." Pam and JB's mission statement is simple: May all who enter as guests, leave as friends.
