Waterfowl hunting has been a thing to do in Hatteras for centuries. While it’s not as legendary as it once was, Hatteras duck hunting is still a popular sport. You can find guides who will take you, or you can give it a go on your own (but be sure to observe the regulations of the N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission, National Park Service and Pea Island National Wildlife Refuge and be sure you have the proper licenses).

Hunting is allowed in Cape Hatteras National Seashore in restricted areas of Bodie Island (on the west side of N.C. Highway 12 opposite South Nags Head).
