In its 65th year in 2019, the Sport Fishing School is sponsored by the Office of Professional Development at N.C. State University. It's a four-day opportunity for anglers to learn about offshore big-game fishing for tuna, dolphin, wahoo, sailfish and marlin from professional Outer Banks charter captains. Participants have two days of classroom instruction covering all aspects of bait, equipment and techniques plus two major Gulf Stream fishing excursions. This event is held in Hatteras village on Hatteras Island. Register early as spaces are limited.
