Sandbar and Grille is a longtime island favorite. It has a casual atmosphere, delicious food and an expansive view of Pamlico Sound and every sunset. Whether you’re in the mood for something as simple as a burger or something decadent like Shrimp and Crab Alfredo, the Sandbar has it. Homemade soups, salads, sandwiches, fresh local seafood, ribs, steaks, pastas – everything is good here. The ribs are said to be the best on the island, and the homemade desserts are scrumptious. Sandbar is open for dinner daily in season (it's open from Valentine’s Day through the end of October) and serves lunch from early spring through early fall. Look for acoustic music on the deck a few nights a week from Memorial Day through Labor Day; call for off-season hours.
