Pets deserve a beach vacation too! Hatteras Island Pet Resort lets you bring your pets on vacation, even if they aren’t allowed at your own accommodations. Only a small percentage of rental homes allow pets, but now your furry family can enjoy their holiday while boarding at the only kennel on Hatteras Island. Since vacation often means tasty treats, your pet will enjoy chicken ice cubes and Milk Bones with lunch and green beans with dinner. Daily pick-up and visitation are encouraged. Dogs can get private runs or share a run if they’re from the same family. Cats and other animals are accepted. You can also drop your pet off for short-term day care while you visit the sights. Current immunization records for each pet are mandatory. Hatteras Island Pet Resort offers grooming as well, including an in-house service. The resort is open year round.
