The Inn on Pamlico Sound is a casually elegant, 12-room inn located on the banks of the Pamlico Sound. Accommodations range from soundfront queens to premium soundfront king rooms with private porches and two-person whirlpool baths. Amenities include a gourmet breakfast, fresh-baked goods served with coffee each afternoon, kayaks, SUP boards, bicycles, a 14-seat home theater with more than 2000 movies on DVD, a print library, complimentary beverages and snacks, beach equipment, beach towels, flat-screen TVs, high-speed internet access in every room and computers for guest use. The inn’s restaurant, Cafe Pamlico, provides casual fine dining with indoor and outdoor tables overlooking the waters of the sound. The menu changes seasonally and always features fresh local seafood, organic beef and chicken, homemade soups, appetizers, desserts, a complete wine and beer list and a full-service bar. The restaurant is open daily for breakfast (brunch in season) in addition to nightly dining ranging from five to seven nights a week, dependent on the season. The Inn on Pamlico Sound is in a quiet waterfront section of Buxton just north of the Frisco line. The inn and its restaurant are both handicapped accessible.
